Application Process and information on making an application

For grants of up to £10,000, you are required to complete an application form. To access the form, please first complete the eligibility quiz, after which you will receive a link to the application.

For grants exceeding £10,000, a two-stage application process applies. Initially, you will need to submit an online ‘Expression of Interest’ form. If your project is deemed suitable, we will contact you to request further information.

In both cases, completing the eligibility quiz below is the first step in the process.

Please note, we receive many enquiries and appeals for funding each year and therefore are not always able to help every organisation/project. We will always provide a reason as to why any application or expression of interest has been rejected.

Please read our ‘What we fund’ and ‘Grant Terms & Conditions’ pages before you decide to apply.

In order to make an application, you will need to be able to provide the following information and documents:

  • Your organisation details including your legal status (i.e. charity commission registration number, company number or charity exempt regulator, or association details)
  • Contact name and details for the applicant. Please note any application will need to be signed by the Principal, CEO, Director, Trustee or equivalent so make sure you have their agreement in advance
  • The purpose of the grant including: an overview of the project, why the funding is needed, details of who will benefit, timescale, details of any partners and their role in the project
  • How your project aligns with our Aims & Objectives (please note: aims can be found on our homepage and objectives under question 2 on our ‘What we fund’ page)
  • We generally do not agree to be the sole funder of any project or initiative. Trustees typically expect the following minimum contributions from other sources: 10% for projects up to £10,000; 20% for projects between £10,000-£20,000; 40% for projects over £20,000; and a minimum of 50% match funding for grants of £50,000 and above. Please also visit ‘What we Fund’ page
  • A full budget with details of matched/in-kind funding, including funds already secured and how any shortfall is to be met. You should include details of other funders/potential funders for your project
  • If you are an educational/training organisation you will be asked to provide statistics on enrolment and completion rates for at least the past three years
  • The amount you are requesting from the Savoy Educational Trust and what it will be used for (this can be detailed in your budget)
  • Copies of any quotes related to your project (these must be dated within the last three months)
  • Measurable and specific outcomes for your project, and how/when impact will be assessed
  • An electronic copy of your latest verified/audited annual accounts
